Entry forms, payment, closing dates and refund policy.
- Duathlon Championship forms available by emailing mdp-triathlon@homail.co.uk Closing date for championship entry is 01/03/10 Entry forms must be fully completed!
- Payment must be included with the entry form. Entry is confirmed by the successful cashing of your cheque/postal order and you’ll be emailed by us we have received your entry.
- Please ensure that the correct postage has been paid when you send us your entries.
- If you the overall winner of the feature race, then we do not expect payment if you return to race again the following year to defend your title (although a BTF day licence fee of £3 will apply if you are a non-member.) We will send you a certificate to claim your entry.
No Entries in the Day
If we reach capacity, we aim to state this on our website. We are very strict on cut-off dates as this is when we have to order t-shirts, finalise swim times, entry lists etc plus the two of us get very busy in the run up to an event as well as working in full-time jobs and parenthood!We will give a refund if you notify us that you want to withdraw a minimum of 3 full weeks prior to an event.
Ringmer Novice try-a-tri
You can enter a maximum of three novice races. After this we no longer consider you to be a novice and you need to move up to sprint events. The winner of a try-a-tri race will also have to move up a distance.
If you have had a substantial injury, a medical condition, just had a baby (women only!) or have a disability that prevents you from competing over longer distances, then your application will be considered if accompanied by a letter explaining your circumstances. (Once the event is over, the letter will be shredded.)
Series Details
2010 Duathlon championship: Sponsored by 53-12, points are based on FIM (i.e. MotoGP) points system as it is easier to work out! Male and female have separate championships to fight for.Points allocated as follows:
1st 25, 2nd 20, 3rd 16, 4th 13, 5th 11, 6th 10, 7th 9, 8th 8, 9th 7, 10th 6, 11th 5, 12th 4, 13th 3, 14th 2, 15th 1.
As Chelmsford is the only Essex race, it will offer double points! Bonus points are also awarded for breaking an existing run, bike or overall record at Friston and Chelmsford. (Abbots Wood is a new course).
The website will be updated with current positions after each round. We hope that we can issue race numbers that reflect your current standings before each round.
The prize for this title will include one of our fleeces amongst other things and free entry to the whole championship the following year!
Opportunities for volunteers/Marshals/club membership: We need your help to get the show on the road (quite literally!) and to make the event safe and fun for all. This includes setting up the day before ad taking down afterwards. Contact Paul to discuss the opportunities available. There is normally a pub lunch in it for you afterwards!
